UX Design

My Approach

Have you ever been frustrated while using an app? Or conversely, have you felt a burst of joy because something was made easy by technology? This is why I’m a UX professional, because I want to create more joy and less frustration.

The user is a crucial part of the design process. I’m passionate about understanding the users' needs, the business needs, and designing a solution to solve for both.

Design needs to have the right balance of functionality and aesthetics. I use design thinking; empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test to solve problems. I’m very organized and like to document everything to keep things in order and communicate decisions across teams. It’s important that stakeholders and the company are aligned on the design vision, the target users, and the business goals.

Experience

I kicked off my UX career with a BA in Interactive Digital Design at Quinnipiac University and continued my education at the intensive bootcamp, The Startup Institute.

I designed workflows and screens for a wine recommendation mobile app, Vinobly. After, I embarked on a 5 year journey at a personalization startup, Evergage (As of 2020, A Salesforce Company). I had the incredible opportunity to be an early employee and experienced three different phases of the company. Throughout those phases I helped grow the product, team, and processes. Then, I worked for Bay Area data management startup, StreamSets, where I set up their user research program.
